Festival of Flowers at Pioneer Courthouse Square has always been one of Portland’s most renowned festivals in the heart of downtown. Each year, the Square works with a local artist or design firm to create a masterpiece of vibrant color utilizing nearly 20,000 flowers and plant material. This year’s design, BE FRIENDLY PDX, was created by the award-winning, local firm Holst Architecture.
