A Day to Celebrate Portland’s Rich History with Trains

Trains, trains, trains! What better way to celebrate Portland Train Day than at Oregon Rail Heritage Center – the only working rail museum in Portland? Oregon Rail Heritage Foundation is once again resurrecting Portland’s celebration of trains with the second annual Portland Train Day. ORHF’s Portland Train Day joins Train Days across the country in commemorating the completion of the first transcontinental railroad with the pounding of the ‘Golden Spike’ at Promontory Summit, Utah on May 10, 1869.

Local Live Music to appear include:
10:00 to 11:30am – The Alphabeticians Rock n Roll for Families
12:00 to 2:45pm – SOUTHERN NIGHTS Spicy Americana
3:00 to 5:00pm – Ghosts Like Us Alternative Neo Soul

Old and young train fans alike can enjoy train rides (all day), model train displays (all day), and FREE facepainting between (10am and 1pm) withMystique’s Fancy Faces.

Food Trucks on-site all day; including Retrolicious, Big Fat Weiners, Pepe Caliente Mobile Food Cart, and Churros Locos
