DESCRIPTION:Portland Parks & Recreation's 5k Series are family-friendly 5k races that take place monthly from May through October at parks throughout the Portland area. These events are perfect for all ages and abilities and are geared toward first time and less experienced runners. The 5k Series is a fun and exciting way for the community to come together and support healthy lifestyle choices. Part fitness\, part community gathering\, all fun! Event staff and lively music will make sure that the participants and spectators stay engaged while participating in the 5k events. All participants are winners and are eligible for the after-event raffle. DESCRIPTION:India Cultural Association (ICA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing Indian cultural awareness in Portland\, Oregon. The Association was established in 1980\, and has since brought the entire Indian community together and provided a venue for a population of over 10\,000 to reconnect with its roots.\n\nICA's claim to fame is its largest and most-loved event: India Festival\, a celebration in honor of India's Independence Day. The festival brings over 10\,000 visitors to Portland's Pioneer Courthouse Square\, and never fails to delight with live music\, dance\, food and entertainment thoughout the day! We truly believe that the festival encompasses the tastes\, sights\, and sounds of India.
